Generally they are. With the cattle they can be handier than having a couple of people helping. When they have a bad day it can be worse than if I didn’t have them at all.I'm sure the "work buddies" are even more useful than the knife.

International Knife of the Week is a Laguiole I bought in Denia, Spain. The knife shop salesperson insisted it was made in Albacete when I asked if it was from China, but I still don't believe him. Nice knife, though, and well worth the 7 euro price.
