What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I carry this knife on a regular basis. Besides being a great knife, it has special significance due to the source. Thanks.

Sunny,
That is one really nice stockman. Beautiful bone, bolsters, and blade lines.

Ozy,
I like that S&M Gunstock. Seeing yours prompted me to carry mine today. Series IX in ATS-34 steel.

Elliott, both absolutely beautiful knives. They must be a joy to carry.

Thanks, Jay.

Not carrying this one today but I know it's one of your favorites so I'll post it for your enjoyment:

This afternoon's carry (more appropriate for the dentist's office and library) will be this 3 5/8" beauty by Bill Ruple:

That sure is purty. 3 5/8? Seems a little short though (at least for my bro.) :D

The one on the left. I'm still trying to figure out how old it is. I found it while hiking a few years ago. At a minimum, I believe it to be pre-1986 because there are no date markings. The blade alloy is a puzzle to me as well. I measured the hardness at 60.4. Of the alloys Buck has used in the past, I would expect that hardness only of 440C. But I did not think they made 501s in that alloy. I gots a thread over on the Buck forum asking for help.

Queen # 19 still. I can't feel it in my pocket anymore. Sliced through a pork chop at lunch, with no sheeple reaction. The D2 stays clean with no staining.

The 501 on the left is 1977-78-79 with old red Micarta scales. They were a very short run in any event. I am pretty pretty dad-gum positive its 440C too. Very nice find, BTW!

Today, 1920's-30's Queen City 4 inch Stockman..

I just finally stopped having dreams about that knife from the last time I saw it. Now its going to start all over :D

We all know know there is no such thing as the perfect knife, but I think a feller would have a hard time doin any better than that one

Thanks. The gents on the Buck forum said 440C and late 70's as well.

Hey all. New to this forum. Thought I would post some of my daily carriers.

The fixed blade hangs off my belt on the weekends. The folder hides in my pocket at work.

jsn, welcome to the forums! You must be yet another Nessmuk fan judging by that fixed blade. You're gonna like it around here.

Great knife, that.. And not easy to find these days in good shape. I purchased several of them new in 1979 back when I was in college in Gainesville, Florida.. I'll be carrying dual 503's today.

+1.. Welcome to the fold, jsn. I too like your choice of cutters. :)

Got both of these 503's in my right hand pockets today. The little shortened one in my watch pocket and the full size right below it..
