What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Capt. Carl answered it right with Buffalo. It varies in shades from almost black to light brown and everything in between. I like how MM boxes their knives.

I was guessin it was Buff too. It looks great. They do use nice looking boxes too

I have carried a Schrade 881 stockman for a few months now. Today I broke out this MooreMaker 5304, a full 4 3/8 inches long, and put the old 881 away for a little while. This knife is in yellow bone, made by Queen, and I think it may be D2. Anyway, I used it hard for an hour on a walking stick I am making, and the edge is VERY tough. It feels very good in my right front pocket, and it looks like it is going to stay there awhile.

Elliot, I drool a little every time I see that Hanson trapper. It's beautiful.

TR, I think your stockman has 1095 blades. IIRC the yellow bone Moore Makers use 1095.

Thanks, Christian.

And you are correct, the MM is 1095. I have that same model. Big ol' stockman with thin (and now sharp) blades.

I'm carrying my Schrade 8OT to help me while I'm putting in laminate flooring in the dining room.

This afternoon, Rusty Preston 4" stockman, Stag/CPM-154:

Washed the factory oil/gritt out of the pivot of my Swayback Jack, put the tiniest drop of high grade sewing machine oil in it and put it in my pocket :D

The Holiday spirit has officially now taken me over.. :)

All today been a tote'n this large(4 1/4 inches closed) Case Equal End Cigar pattern in Christmas Tree Celluloid(no pattern number) from the 1930's.. This old gal is heavy duty to say the least.. God forbid if I ever get any of my fingers in the way of the snap on her. The blades sounds like a guillotine when she snaps shut. And loud, you can hear it half way down the road too..

Having ended the experiment and going back to my sinfull ways as an incurable knife knut, I have my daily rotation with me. In addition to my ever present Wenger SI in its belt pouch with the LED light, I have my old yellow peanut back in my right pocket. My classic is back on my keyring, and I feel like all is back as it should be. And in memory of my dear old Uncle Paul, I even tucked a very old Christy knife in my tobacco pouch, just in case.

What are you guys carrying today?

Hi guys, Im a newbie. Nice to join this forum.
