Since I have so many canoes, and try to give each of them "equal time" for carrying, my CV Case hasn't really had much chance to get a heavy patina.
I only have 9 Canoe + 1 Gunboat, including a back-up RR 1736 Classic Carbon.
Of the 9+1 only te Classic Carbon ans Case are carbon steel.
TBH the Case has gotten the most pocket time of the three. (back-up RR needs the main's longpull reformed. Top has a "\" angle so thumbnail slips off. 😡☹️ I'll hit it with a dremel cut-off wheel "someday" so the thumbnail don't slide off.

Poor canoist on my Case probably can't see past the tip a his knows, "thanks" to the heavy patina fog ... fact is you can almost see him and his vessel. ☹️🥺

I have emailed CASE.
Re-etching him and the canoe is not possible.

Makes sense in a way. Before my guy got lost in the fog I noticed there are minor differences in the canoe and ripples in the water from one year to the next. 🤯😳
They likely don't have the correct etch pattern for whatever year a 5 "x" with 2 "*" is anymore.

My user RR isn't quite so foggy ... yet ...

Of the two, the CASE gets more carry time and use. It is probably my favorite Canoe ... that I have ...

TGIF! Hard couple weeks, but this one started off with a bang when a surprise package show up from well known to be swell knifehead JonMcD JonMcD 😮 It is magically a knife I've actually gandered before, a 7Forge "Jackal" in 80crv2. Jon is apparently a mindreader as well, as I "needed" A). More small fixed blades B). Tiffany Blue Liners and pins C). A Harpoon that was actually pratical to EDC. D). No amount of Vtg. Natural Linen Micarta is enough. And E). A pick-me-up! Thank you so much Jon! You're a treasure and good influence, which I likely need.

Monday carry, gotta put an edge on this 7Forge still but it's for sure a keeper, a compact, versatile, slicey yet still robust little thing, looks friendly in pocket and then decidedly stabby upon drawing, which is great for the frankly dicey urban area I live in.

Friday carry. Missing a few days there, may find/post later.

Found the rest, sorry for another wall of knives. Really trying to make a few minutes to post here everyday as it's time well-spent, but life intrudes.

I missed the opening to the modern wing of your museum Mr.P! 😱
Very nice.😁

Thank you Mr. R. :thumbsup: 😊

Pulled some pork that was resting overnight. Time to bag it and tag it 😁

I just realized what your user name might represent ....... I would bet a little bit that somewhere near where you live there is a business called "Buckeye Barbecue". 🤔🤣
Nice tote for the day and nice work on the pulled pork. :thumbsup:😍

Those knives look good together 👍🤠

Thank you my friend. :thumbsup:😊

Time for the midsummer fest!

"The corncrake's song rings in my ears,
above the rye a full moon sails;
this summer night all sorrow clears
and woodsmoke drifts along the dales,
I do not laugh or grieve, or sigh;
the forest's darkness breathes nearby,
the red of clouds where day sinks deep,
the blue of windy hills asleep,
the twinflower's scent, the water's shade-
of these my heart's own song is made."
