I am one of those strange people who likes going though the car wash (the price they charge nowadays its better that way). 😆

I took one off my soon to be sold on CJs.

It was a ritual in BAOR Germany, someone would wake you on Saturday morning (oh the hangovers) and you would go with them to the car wash.

Then nip up to the BIG NAAFI (PX) shop and look at cameras, stereos, watches and the like you could barely afford on our low wages (not helped with a lot of it spent on beer and hopefully Fräuleins).😁

We might go to a football match that afternoon as well, but leave the car as more drinking was on the cards.🤭

No sign of Rose Royce anywhere. ;) 🤣

Happy Friday friends. First day of vacation. Made it to MI about 3am last night (this morning?); 12hr haul with the little ones… how many times does one need to use the bathroom!?

This is the crew of 7 that joined me.

Today will be the TC

Have a good holiday, love the case for the knives a great storage solution.

Enjoying a last few minutes of quiet before the entire clan descends on the lake house for the 4th of July Holiday. This will be my pocket carry for the next few days as I’ve ceded the cottage to my daughter and her family and knives have been stored away from the curious toddlers. I’m sure this trio will meet my needs.

Hope it’s a grand vacation.
As my old boss always hollered out as I pulled out of the garage in Boonville in my propane tanker, Keep ‘er Rubber Side Down!

That looks like the ideal place to spend the 4th, I hope all have a good time and stay safe. 😎👍

That Schrade is off the charts and the M&G is going to be a classic, especially with that patina. Outstanding pair as usual, my friend!

Thank you my friend.😊
Win a knife?? No, but you get the honour of standing the whole Forum a drink :D Traditional drinks;)

Time we saw more of that Stockman, mind 😻

"Everyone" speaking of "The 4th" weekend ...
s'pose I should change mii carry for that ... 🙄

c. 1976 Imperial (hollow bolster) Bicentenial Stockman. 1095 blades with 'Old Hickory-ish forging details.
c.1978 ~ 1984 Old Timer (4 pin) 7OT with 1095 blade and "saw cut" Delrin covers.

Going to stick with a SAK, but for an "American" connection, I think my 'Swiss Spirit' Companion with American Walnut scales will do.
It retains the all important scissors that I use amost every day. 😇👍

Mr. Sir Hercules will be with-in reach on the rollator when (not "if") I need the pliers.

Switching to the made here in North "America" DM kneck knife, as well.

TBH I almost went with my American "Oak" and 5160 blade Buck 110 rather than the 7OT...
However, I already had a Old Timer leather sheath on my belt ... and I honestly don't feel like finding and switching to a Buck sheath*.
Both cut as good, and are solid knives with excellent ergos for extended use.😇👍

(*I here it b "Sacrelege" to put a Buck inna Old Timer sheath ... or the reverse ... 🙄)

Have an Happy 4th, please, and don't drain too many 5ths ... Hungovers are not "fun" nor "pleasant" from what I've herd. 😇👍
