What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I started with these this morning for an outdoor church service and picnik.
Thomas Jefferson Limited Edition Schrade was given to me a year and a half ago by Greg, sunknife sunknife . A variant of 881, I believe.

I chose these for the rest of the day. The big one is a Schrade Walden 163, the other, my 33 Jack I bought new in the ‘70s.
The 163 is big and homely, and a favorite of mine.
I prefer a medium Jack for trimming the ends off and strings out of peas and beans.

Salad of two kinds of lettuce, kale, and arugula, with chopped snow peas on top, and baked catfish.
Happy Sunday evening!

My first experience of the generosity of you folks came in 2017. I was at a low point after my oldest son died from the TBI he came home with from Afghanistan. I’d posted a photo of my old Schrade 893 yellow Trapper, and mentioned that I should look for a matching 881 yellow Stockman to match it. I received a PM asking for my address from r8shell r8shell .
She sent me two yellow Schrades, this one, and the tiny yellow Stockman which is smaller than a Peanut. So every time I carry either one, they bring a bunch of great memories. Thank you, Rachel.

The Hawkbill is one of two Camillus #1s that I have. Even though it had obvious steel loss and clumsy marks from a bench grinder, I bought it and restored the blade because it’s a short line tang stamp, meaning it was made in the late 1940s. Gonna need it later after a Costco expedition.

Hope all you working stiffs have a great return to work today!

It makes me smile as well, whenever I see you enjoying the knives, Jeff. :)👍

I am one of those working stiffs, of which you speak. At least I'm cheered today by carrying this whittler I picked up at an incredible deal at a flea market yesterday: (as well as your post this morning)
