I got 2 of these, both of mine were weirdly dirty and had some small issues. I wish they were better because I love the handles.
Greatly appreciated Bob!Very nice duo Jon.![]()
Many thanks! And I agree…that Needham pruner is a stunner! That pruner. Needham made a good knife.
Awesome pair of knives!
Thanks sir! I enjoyed the pics from yesterday as alwaysCracking pair.![]()
I whip the ends of all my good ropes, but never thought of doing to my knife lanyards. Pretty slick way to keep from closing the blade on it.Carrying this nice Brother 1512 folder that just arrived today, nice inexpensive knife that is well made.
Here you can see how the whipping knot prevents the lanyard from sliding around the end of the handle

and normal position it falls down along the spine of the handle

Dig the SawpinelMy house has a garden from a club on the other side of my fence its poorly maintained (like a rubbish tip).
Its overgrown and pulled my fence down before, I noticed more growth coming though so gathered some tools to go and see whats what.
I have to go a long way around, so guessed what tools I might need, so I dont go back and forth.
I am looking for old shears to replace my modern tools,as you would expect.
I love this big old Opinel no9,it cracks me up when people say they dont like Opinel.
The opinel saw is very aggressive (I lock it in the shed when it doesent behave) its very easy to fold and carry safely.
Then I just fancied taking my old Barlow as no one had bought it from my sales add,I thought it fitted in with and made a good trio for a working party.
When I got around the back it was so overgrown with brambles and the like I couldnt get anywhere near my fence to cut the rubbish off.
Still it was a nice little walk.
Ive called the council as they lease the land (a whole new meaning to "grass").
