The Postman only rings once. 
From no Russell Barlows (or even ever seeing one) to two in an instance.
Plainsman on packet opening dutys,after making a sandwich for me.
The Clip is my favourite off the 2 and almost stacks up next the the King (or CJ Barlow as we know it).
The spear is older and has much better snap,the blades have pitting (or patina if you like,I do) the nail nick is a little shallow for me with my hand pains.
Spears used to be my favourite but nowadays I have change my mind,so may move that one on.
No oil the joints stamp on either though.

It's definitely hot & muggy out today, so remember to stay hydrated if you're out in it. It's about 100°F outside here with a heat index of 111°F where I'm at. The 50% humidity really makes it stick to you
Anyways I stopped by our favorite local bakery to get some stuff to cool off with
Got the Barlow & Scout riding shotgun with me today.
Some fresh smoked Gouda pimento cheese really hits the spot.
Along with a Blackberry & peanut butter cheesecake (Good ol' PB&J) & yes they added a macaroon on top.
Last but not least some freeze dried peach candy. (Mrs. Hoovies favorite)

I tried to capture the ‘ring of fire’ around the lake created by the road flares illuminated at 10:00 pm, but my iPhone isn’t great.
Also attached is a photo of my 4-year old granddaughter watching the various fireworks with me. ‘See Papa, I’m not even crying this year!’ She was proud of herself. Meanwhile, her 3-year old brother was in full on panic mode!!
The lake is abuzz with a full on invasion of the ‘Ohio Navy’ and I’m sitting here watching the various vessels ignore any semblance of ‘right of way’ and cross each other’s paths in all the wrong ways.
The 31 will keep me company.
