Definitely a great day.

Thanks Jeff. The seeds resemble grain sorghum but I could not see that unless you were into sorghum honey and syrup.

Looks tasty. Bourbon and Bacon hot sauce sounds great. I will try and find some
I figured you thought they were hemp seeds. Down in the flat as a psncake Mississippi bottoms part of Missouri, the ditches are full of sorgum, and industrial hemp. Hemp was farmed there for rope, fabric and paper for a long time. Now I think it all corn and beans.

I don’t grow hemp, industrial or otherwise😁

It is going to be another 90 degree F day. Oh yay! I got out earlier, fed the birds, and watered the tomato plants and flowers. Now it's off to get groceries, gas, our weekly trip to Costco........
Ever wish occasionally that you were working again? Okay, I'll shut up now! 😁 ;)

I keep hearing about the heat. We’ve luckily had gorgeous 81f. temps. I say luckily because our A/C went out. And I know why. Between a rodent chewing on a wire, and Manny digging around it trying to eat the rodent, there’s a wire hanging loose.🙄
And sorry, wishing I was back working does not compute.
These are nice🤙
The vendor that I always stop at first at the Badger Blade Show told me the HSB Jack I could not put down would probably still be there if I wanted to think about.
“Unless one of my HSB collectors comes by…?
So I spent what I’d planned to spend four feet from the door.

Thank you. I absolutely love HS&B Co.

I can relate with spending it all in four feet. Over the years, I've "spent it all" few times before I hit the door🤣

Emerald Ash Borer killed that tree.
I hate to hear that :( We have a lot of ash trees in Missouri. I remember the seventies in Detroit. There were all these streets with big, beautiful elm trees lining them, and then within a couple of years Dutch Elm Disease killed them all. And then when the Pine Bark beetle came through the Cumberland Plateau and killed all the pine trees. Mother Nature is ruthless 👹
Back home. Recoup day then back to the grind tomorrow. Made some cheeseburger/egg quesadillas on a whim… highly recommend!

Vernors! I remember the factory in, IIRC, Hamtramck, Michigan had these large, street facing windows where you could watch it being made. That was when they were a small, local company before they got swallowed up by a conglomerate. It was the only ginger ale I thought was fit to drink. In fact it was my favorite soda when I drank soda 👍👍👍
The quesadillas don't look to shabby either

Allow me to be succinct: No
😛
Gonna be another hot one today. Dry and hot with low humidity - perfect conditions for a forest fire and we've got one South of as about 15-miles as the crow flies. I'll be carrying a Buck 112 today. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

I hope you're upwind. Stay safe 🙏🤞

They grew a lot of hemp in western Missouri to be used as rope by the Navy in WWII. When I worked out there, you would occasionally see it growing in roadside ditches. It became known as "ditch weed".

I hereby proclaim this as "Lucky Monday" 🥳🎆🎇
I was spinning on my exercise bike, earbuds happily playing bluegrass, reading a mediocre novel, when the seat post broke at the seat and I went over backward, three feet to the concrete floor. Somehow managed to land mostly on my left hip/buttock and right elbow 🤨 Didn't hit my head, Didn't break anything. Might be a little sore tomorrow, but it could have been a LOT worse 😯

The Livri is a fine knife for Micarta, I mean Lucky Monday :)

Some metal parts should be cold rolled or forged steel. Pot metal is junk.

Glad you’re okay Mike! I’ll send some Vernors your way! It seems to heal anything. That’s really neat that you got to see it in its hey day. I was introduced as a kid as both of my parents are from Michigan. It spoiled all other ginger ales for me… nothing compares to it. Thankfully I can find it here in Maryland from time to time.

Very nice blade! That white micarta looks really good.
