They don’t show up in the photo, but a cloud of ravenous mosquitos swarmed me in the short time it took.

Getting ample rain this year means I have not had to drag hoses around every day, but the current hatch must be one for the record books.

The other day, I stopped off at one of the preserves on the Kishwaukee River, and was puzzled over the fact it was deserted. Now I know why. Usually, there are lots of folks doing their exercise walking on the trails.

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund Jeff, this year I have kept the bird bath stocked with mosquito dunks. It may be my imagination, but I think it helps by sterilizing part of the population. I don't have to fight them so bad picking blackberries.

mbkr mbkr sorry to hear of the stationary bike issue. I'll have to be careful riding during PT.

Only one I picked up of this run, great bone, great shield, great knife even if it has a spey.

When we get tired of eating them, we make blackberry jam. House smells wonderful during this process.

Ribeyes smoked then kissed by fire. Used kitchen string to keep them moist and hold them together. Carpe diem!

I wondered what Knife Collector’s Club that acronym stood for. And I wondered about the secondary. But both questions were answered in John’s post.
Congrats on the new one🤙

I spread my berries out on cookie sheets, and freeze them. Then bag them in qt. freezer bags. That way, they don’t freeze to each other, and we can just take out what we want. I believe I have enough for a full year. Mostly for oatmeal and desserts.

Re: spey blades.
I like them, but admit to never having used them for actual speying. When I was a kid, eating small game and saving the skins, the spey blade ruled.
But even a non-spey blade guy has to admit that knife has a very well executed spey blade🤙

Pleasant patriotic presentation, Bob, but doesn't that pale pearl knife represent "our enemy" in that war?

Thanks, Bob. I took 4 semesters of German in college over 50 years ago, and used to be able to read German OK. But I can't even recognize the letters on the etch of your angelic knife to plug into an online translator.

🫣 pardon my pearl harbor mistake Gary.

Perhaps the lettering was a personalization of knif.
