What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I went up to the mountains this morning to pick up my daughter from camp. I got there early and hiked to a creek by the camp and fly fished for a bit. I had my Boker barlow and a Krein fixed blade with me. It was great to see my daughter after she was away for 10 days.

Sounds like a nice little ride, beautiful fish! 👍

Fine pair! 😍 Better than soup with lamb, at least for the lamb's sake! 🤣

Good Tuesday to you. Here’s two blades for Tuesday.

Daniel is so incredibly talented. That's a great one.
Gracias. Dad lived an excellent life. We surely miss him, but no regrets.
You guys talking about boiled in oil goober peas ~ the only thing south about this place is being a bit south of the wide open Wisconsin border. But the wallymarts have canned boiled p’nuts if you’re brave enough. Not me. I liked the ones off a roadside table in Ga.
I am a big proponent of Georgia's roadside peanuts. Our local bait shop has great boiled peanuts. Buccees, etc, just don't compare.

Fantastic............and most beautiful countryside and situation to be in, in many ways, I am most envious..!

I hope your daughter had a great time Bart.
Your friend will be fun on someone's line next year.
The boker is a good knife not to scare counselors.😃

Thanks guys, it was a nice little escape for part of a day. Bob, my daughter had a blast, with her camp friends. They backpacked for five nights at five different lakes.

Nice lines on this knife🤙
I keep forgetting if that is canvas or muslin Micarta®️, even though I have both on knives🙄. Either way, it’s perfect on that one.
Those Case versions are the best TL-29s in my opinion
I agree. But I say that about every TL-29 that happens to be in my pocket. I’m not so likely to use this one hard though, because I think it’s pretty old.

Ha. Dig the moving picture.
I’m surprised nobody has asked how you’re dyeing your victims. RIT Dye?
However you did it, it penetrated perfectly.🤙
I’ll bring cilantro, garlic and onions, and we can cook up some salsa. It’s too early for my poblanos, though.

In a bind they will do. Not great but.. I order from a couple websites that ship fresh boiled ones. Much better.
The best are from the roadside vendors down south
