What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Bonus pic of the day 😂
Surprise car repair! Luckily it's not much, it's just the rubber trim underneath the front bumper of Mrs. Hoovies car broke loose. Friendly reminder, those old large cardboard boxes can come in handy with making a clean spot to lay down on. I always have a few saved in the garage for such times.

Headed to a Sunday dinner with some friends, and really been enjoying this new addition!

Pulls are weak like others have said about these, but it doesn’t bother me too much since I always pair with another locking folder or have a pocket fixed blade on me anyway.

Might pick up a spare of these because I can already tell this one is going to be a frequent carry.

You can tell by my stained thumb and forefinger that my Blackberries are ripening.

Have a Blessed Sunday!
A couple of fine knives and nice picture compositions, my friend.
For today's hike with the dogs -- 2001 re-issue of Marble's "Special Hunting Knife", along with a NW Scagel for the pocket...

Outstanding looking fixed blade. I love the color of the vintage ivory micarta, would enjoy having a knife of my own with those covers one day.
Now that's some beautiful bone, classic Case, my friend.
Today's carry is a Schatt & Morgan Heritage Series - Woodsman - 1095 and Stag Bone, a reproduction of a knife originally offered in 1908.

Swell center stockman. 😊 That blade combo on that frame looks great to my eyes. The jigged bone and shield are a perfect combo for that period recreation.:thumbsup:

I've been pocketing this 56 Birddog the past few days. I got it new back in the days when I was able to get a GEC on the dealers drop and then proceeded to accidentally drop it on the concrete basement floor within minutes of unpacking it from the tube. Dinged a bolster pretty good, sighed, and committed myself to making it a heavy user from day one.:)
Handsome and sturdy John DF slip in the pic, it also gets some heavy use.

Well aged micarta and great slip.👌

Well aged micarta and great slip.👌
Thanks, Bob. I'd have to look but I think that might be the only micarta knife I have in my collection.
Yeah, John is a first class leather worker. I believe that slip will outlast me and I use it on average at least 3-7 days a week.

Splendid 38 whittler! I think you showed and ebony version earlier; what wood is on this one?
Thanks Gary! The English whittler is Bloodwood, in my opinion an underused wood for knife handles. You are largely responsible for my love of the Canoe pattern, I have a new one on the way that I will share soon 😁

Sounds like happy days. Even though they're hard to get now, I still don't mind dinging a new GEC (one that I like) up on day one. The path seems so much clearer after that's been broached. It's not a tool if you don't use it! I had one of those in single blade and passed it on due to being too slim, been meaning to try the double version.

I only used the Bowman "Barlow" today. Guess the Mint Jigged 59 was a jewel today, although she's far from Mint now (hit some concrete while trimming caulk a few weeks back).

I realised today that the OEM 39 Bunny is the best of them all in every way.

I was offered the use of a buggy,I refused to be embarrassed and accepted it.

It certainly gave me a greater range to explore. 😁

Good knife to have on your adventures! 🐰🤠
It’s been a pretty relaxing Sunday around here. I used my new Russell fixed blade knife I bought from Harry Epstein’s 4th of July sale to slice up some veggies for meatloaf on the Pit Boss grill. In my pocket I had the Mount of Olive wood Yankee Barlow.
