Yes it's Cocobolo. The 78 I got is a nice knife. Other than the Cocobolo being rather plain I like it very much.

Last minute call to get new tyres fitted as there was a cancellation.

Ive been going to Daves shop for well over 30 years now,his son runs it these days, Dave potters around helping out.

We always have a good chat while Jon works on my bike,he has storys dating back to when he worked for Mike Hailwoods dads massive bike showrooms and sometimes did jobs on Mikes bike even taped his boots once or twice.

He has the old work bench,tyre stacker and other bits both vintage and historical from the racing days.

I then went on a short ride to the river,it was very hot 30c or more so had a cold drink and watched the river flow before heading home for tea.

my boots sometimes hit the deck (big feet) but this is his worn down to his bare feet.

Thank you ..... I might have confused you as I was talking about the modern knife being wood with brass pins. The Barlow is Saw-cut bone.

Thank you Johnny. That background is an antique bench that sits under a picture window in my house .... seven feet long. My old favorite background was an old grey saw-cut oak board, but, I sawed it up and made a bird house out of it back in 2020 when they made us believe are remaining days were numbered.
