Good job, clean up foxes for farmers when i come across them.

If I ever look for a job, I’m going to look for one where I have to bring a rifle. Coyotes and coons, yes. But foxes are cool with me. They would keep the rodent population down for me. But I don’t keep chickens, either…

Well, after taking a hiatus I figured I’d post today. I’m still dealing with an irregular heart beat and went in for my second Cardio Version last Friday. Didn’t work so now try again with a different and stronger medication and retest in a few weeks. In the meantime another foggy day here in the City by the Bay! Keeping me company a Alger’s lamb and my Bullet End Barlow. Have a great day folks!

Well, this one has been in and out of my pocket for ten years now, along with a few others. I guess that it has been in there for about a month now, this time. Sometimes I cut a bit of string, dig a sliver, or similar tasks; I have never disemboweled a moose with it. It is not a "look at me" show knife like many, here.

Grocery run on a hot, sunny day 91F, 63% humidity, 75F dew point. "Feels like" temp is a 104F AC in the old truck kept up
Hot humid days like today call for lightweight, sweat resistant materials.

How'd you get that thing to patina in the middle? For some reason, mine always start on the edge.

I confess to "manipulating" (rubbing around) to get that patina. Being a desk rider my knives aren't used hard at all, and living in the swamp - er southeast Texas - makes me nervous about pitting and worse.

Yesterday I worked outside all day so today I am resting inside most of the day and had this one in my pocket , as I have most days .

Then the mail came and I drove our Gator out to the mail box to get this one . GEC calls it a Bullet End Barlow . I call it a Bullet End Jack . After CE & CF it a lot , I have to say that they did a great job on it . The inlay of the Bullet Shield is superb . Just as they did on the 2 Remingtons that they made in the last few years . Centering , flush springs , no Burrs on the bone , bone saw cut grooves depth , sharpness , smooth fit in the hand , color match side to side . Just overall a pretty good knife .

Now I have both in my pockets .
