What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very nice Boker my friend . Have you ever found anything to kill Crab Grass ? My neighbor gave me the info on something that worked for him and it also does for me . It is not a pre-emergent . I just sprayed mine this week . A lot less crab Grass this year than last year .

Harry

Thank you Harry.
I usually just whack it with the string trimmer, but, would be interested in what you use to whittle (spray) it away. 😊

I'll be carrying this 5 3/4" Dan Crotts-designed Dozier, blue maple burl, and D2.

Got the yard cut and trimmed and some other outdoor work done before the rain showed up. Crab grass showed up in a hurry last week. I picked up my old saw-cut bone Boker Barlow as I was going out the door. Ended up with a nice nap with Elijah J. the Mainecoon 🐈‍⬛ while the rain was pattering down. 😊

That is a great way to nap. Portable heating pad that purrs. That and the rain certainly makes for great napping conditions.
I had this Alox SAK with me today. We did some tubing on the river.

Inner tubes and creek made up a lot of days in my mid to late teenage years when I was not farming

Catt Carpenter Whittler # 1 ( one of three and my favorite of the three ) and a Russell Barlow for Thursday. 😊
I love how Cattaraugus laid the small blades right against the liners and absolutely no blade rub.

And not only that…
I’d bet the Whittler closes with a ringing CLACK.
Breakfast is a toss up.
Just to be clear, you mean menu choices, not what happens after you eat, right?

RC is doing a great job with some clean looking models, including this one. I know I said in the RC thread that I probably wasn’t going to get this one because it’s very similar to the Loosahatchee Jack, which I already have and am quite fond of, but I may not be able to resist, ESPECIALLY if they do this one in the black wood or micarta. The shape of that clip blade is the total bee’s knees IMO.

I currently have the Loosahatchee Jack in red sandalwood, Savage Creek in black micarta, Nolichucky Jack, and the French Broad Jack in rosewood. They are all great knives, especially at the price, and I personally prefer the Loosahatchee out of the bunch.

I still do wish the country of origin was here and not there, but the quality is definitely there.
