What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I too have an Eagle Phila. A big jack with lots of wear, and crude home made easy ooen notches. Itโ€™s a good one, but not in as good of shape as yours. Sure donโ€™t see many of them.
This is my first Eagle. It's an absolute gem for being made as a rebranded knife. The main and secondary blades are a smooth 3.5 with no half stops.

Does yours have the tang stamp ground and restamped as Eagle Phila? You can see a little bit of the origional stamp left on mine.

Youโ€™ve got some great antique knives. Wondering if you have come across much history of EAGLE?
All I could find was info that it was a group of cutlers employed by NYKC, who formed a small company putting out knives salvaged from NYKC Factory Seconds and parts.
If true, it would explain the sanitized tangs overstamped with EAGLE PHILA.

True or not, thereโ€™s nothing resembling what Iโ€™d call a Factory Second about them
Agree. The pliers and scissors are my most used "blades".
I did get to use the saw the other day to shorten a handrail about a foot (at the house manager's request.) to make room for a 4 drawer file cabinet in the "office" corner of the hall to rooms 7 to 10 inclusive.

I still tote the Huntsman daily. The split ring and multi purpose "package hook" give the option of "T" shank jigsaw blades when needed.
(A set of "T" shank jigsaw blades kept in the Rollator's shopping/tote bag.)

I could probably "get by" with just the Hercules or Huntsman in my daily quote-unquote "life".
That wouldn't be much "fun" however ... and I have "too many" nice newer and vintage knives that "need" carried โ€ฆ

Itโ€™s good to be known as the guy who has the tool for the job in his pocket. Or his vest. Or clipped to his belt, hanging around his neck or stashed in his Rollator.

Sorry about the fingerprint on the blade and being 17 pages behind. Abalone shells picked up on the beaches of Vandenberg AFB 25 years ago. Holes all the way through this one make it unusable for many things but still works as a nice background. 5 inches of rain last night, more then we usually get the entire month. Ya'll stay safe in these turbulent times.
