I’ve noticed lately that some of you have begun assigning human names to knives.
We usually give our dogs human names ~
Lester (Britanny Spaniel), Mike (Britanny Spaniel), Zach (German Shepherd Dog), and Dave (Boston Terrier). Not Grizzley (GSD), or my present Mutt, Manny, though.
For some reason, my wife’s younger brother got his undies in a bunch over it. His name is Brian.
What do you think I should name my next dog?![]()
Been a few of those up and down the California coast in the last week or so. LA area has had a couple in various places.4.0 earthquake just hit in my city. Haven’t had one like that in a while.
yessir. While it's always a bit heart-stirring when the terra is momentarily not firma, that's a good assessment of a 4.0.Thank you, everyone is good. 4.0 will give a decent shake but not enough to cause real damage. Maybe knock over a few items on a shelf but nothing too serious.
I wish Case made more micarta. That one is very nice.Just got off work, doing some yardwork now so I don't have to do it this weekend. Got the Micarta Copperlock & Alox Pioneer helping out with cutting duties.

It's hot & humid out out this way, remember to stay hydrated y'all!
Have a good one!
I was stationed in the Santa Anna area of So. Cal for a couple years back in the late 60's, but only recall one earthquake. I was walking down the hall in the barracks, and down at the end of the hall, the floor rose up & came at me like a wave. I grabbed a bunk, and when the wave went past me, it almost threw me on the floor. A couple native CA guys were there & said it was "just" an earthquake.Been a few of those up and down the California coast in the last week or so. LA area has had a couple in various places.

On the other hand, I've seen pictures of midwesterners gawking without too much trepidation at a by-passing tornado. It just depends on what hazards you are used to.I was stationed in the Santa Anna area of So. Cal for a couple years back in the late 60's, but only recall one earthquake. Mr.P, your knife seems to have been transformed into a filet knife.Grilled bone-in pork chop, potato salad, and a little watermelon ought to do it for a nice hot August evening.
Used my late mom's favorite Primble Hickory knife to do the cuttin'.
A lot cheaper and tasted better than what I usually get going out for dinner. Cheaper means more money for knives.![]()

I think some of the folks in the north part of the county did. I live down by the border. (Unfortunately, within the "aroma distance" of the Tiajuana Estuary when the wind is from the South.) I didn't feel any of them.Yessir. Did you feel it in SD?
