What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Excellent matching blues!

I admit I'm at it again. Cooking is just so fun, a passion, the joy to have a nice moment and eat with the family. Our son brought a friend to visit us, a clever young man. We had such good discussions and enjoyed the meal. Our doors are allways open to the friends of our children and many of them return, as our common friends.

Imperial hollow bolster Bicentenial stockman and a Rough Ryde RR1736 Classic Carbon canoe in RFP.

The Imperial is a strong contender for my 2024 KOTY, even tho it is not as "high end" as the other contenders, like the 8OT, and Case 10374.

With luck I'll have a Western (Bolder, CO) 2 blade slipjoint folding hunter (carbon steel blades) next month, complete with the original sheath.
I suspspect it will also be a contender.
(it even has "Steve" engraved on a boster and shield. I'm guessing a previous owner is/was named "Steve", too.)

Good looking pair. How do you like the 32? I’ve got a cocobolo on the way, I think this’ll be a one-and-done pattern for me (which will be good, I need a break after 39s and 78s 🤣). I’m curious to check it out though. I liked the 33 a lot more than I expected to when I got one a few years ago, so I’m wondering if this will be a similar experience.

Is there a toad hanging around big enough to use that beast for a toadstool?😱
It reminds me of those old science fiction movies where radiation leaks from some nefarious and shadowy company causes something ~ shrews, or squids, or fungi to grow into big man eaters.
Do not eat🤪
A pair of early Cattaraugus Jacks that have seen a lot of use, but, still are hard snapping and capable.
The bare head Cocobolo Jack was one of my more challenging cleanup tasks ..... about ten years ago. 😊

Nice old Catts, my friend.
Even with it’s “beauty marks”, that jack still has very little actual blade loss. Wise decision in not trying to remove them like some Fluffer ‘n Buffer seller on the bay!
Nice to see the new Guardian’s Lamb in the Totin thread🤙

Cooking for, and sharing a meal with folks is a time honored way to make friends🤙

It even works with my brother in law. Sort of.😁

That's a great looking Robeson.
Thanks kindly.

🤣 Fortunately a neighbor came to me first asking me if they are edible. She was ready to pick them.😱

Today's carry is the full size Camillus trapper just above the banana trapper. Carbon steel of some sort and appears to be Delrin covers. I bought it sans box or paperwork about the time that Camillus shut down. This one fits (barely) in my front pocket.
