Bonus pic, after watering some of the plants Mr toad was soaking in the puddles. Don't blame him, it's hot out... I went & put some extra water out for him after the pic 👍IMG_20240831_164345035~2.jpg

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

May your day be as fine as your carry and your banter Jeff! It's late for an Iris, isn't it? I was admiring your 804 yet again and I feel I must remark, you were right all along about Delrin. I resisted, "plastic prejudice" you know, but heck that is an attractive knife.

Have a great Labor Day weekend, all! The Eureka will be laboring with me today.
Do not resist the Delrin.
I’ve been blessed with two different Schrade Whittlers as gifts from fellow Porch members.
The flower does resember my Siberian Iris, but you’re right. They bloomed months ago.
That is a begonia. Every spring, Vik come home with a few annuals for me to squeeze in somewhere.
Thanks for your nice wishes, and you have a fine weekend as well!

What are beef prices doing in the states at the moment? Doing well here.
They’re doing really well here too. Probably record highs this year. Of course all the input costs are up also.
Good looking cattle. The pup is earning extra treats. As dusty as it is, I figure the frankenlifter was used a couple times.
Thanks. Yes, pretty hot and dusty, I definitely put the lifter to work when the real work was done. 😁
Great knife Bart Sacto Sacto but the highlight of your post is the dog. I always like seeing cattle worked in my area and watching the dogs work the cattle. Those dogs look scruffy at times and look unorganized but when it comes time to get down to business, they push those cattle like nobody's business.
Thanks Ed. I really enjoy working with the dogs. It’s one of the most enjoyable parts of my job. The dogs really make the work easier and they love doing it. It is impressive to see a small dog take charge over a group of huge animals like that. By the way, I was kind of up in your neck of the woods in Bly, OR.
