I believe N690 is relatively tough stuff, but maybe stick to slicing with it.

Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/
Agree...I gave Paul@jakeywax32 a similar knife and edge is so thin it just rolled. You could operate with this blade.I believe N690 is relatively tough stuff, but maybe stick to slicing with it.
Properties are roughly similar to VG10 and 154CM.Jeff, it is N690. He uses that and RWL34 alot.

I got a nephew now & have taken on the status as Uncle!
Special occasion calls for special carry. I had the Pearl Case & my late grandfathers Imperial Barlow with me. He's there in spirit. Forgive the bad lighting...
Congratulations to both of you and your families. I hope all are happy and healthy!Congratulations! My son was just born on the 23rd
That K’roo clip is marvelous Bob. Love the grind and swedge, and a long pull to boot! Purdy.
Nice knife but sad news Ed.Going to town to mail bills. Will eat lunch at the Brass Rail. The Wagon Wheel Cafe has fallen on hard times - will be closed from now on on Tuesday and Wednesday. It's up for sale. It was a sad day this past Thursday when it was listed in the Real Estate Section of our weekly paper. Coffee for breakfast. This carry for today.

Good to know Jack. This is an ultra thin blade up to spine...like a scalpel.I can’t speak for the particular knife Bob but I have a boker Barlow and one of my fixed blade hunting knives in N690co and they have great edge retention. I never really take pics of it but the Barlow lives in my Ute and gets all the nasty jobs at work and only gets the occasional stone. The cudeman I’ve broken down deer and had it still shaving hair.

Nice 47 Jon.....you have some sweet slabs of wood there.

That's one way to keep people off the lawn.Today we spent about 4 hours at the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge in East Lake, North Carolina. Unfortunately we never saw any gators, but we did see two nice sized black bears——one sleeping in the top of a 40’ pine tree and the other bolting across the road in front of us into a canal and out the other side! After we ate this evening we drove out to the Bodie Island Light Station so I could get my usual pic for this thread, but the wind was blowing so hard my knife kept falling over, so this is the best I could do.
