What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful day for a scooter ride. I saw a bald eagle in flight. Its no longer uncommon to see them, but its still rare enough to worthy of note, i.e. its pretty cool :cool::)

Took the Pioneer and the GL24.

As I was turning onto my road on my return, I was Cheerfully greeted by a sign that said, "Fresh Oil Loose Gravel"


Fortunately, it wasn't as messy as it could have been. It was a little twitchy.
 
I have the "extra" Imperial Sodbuster with me today to finish sharpening at lunch time.

Not displaying my bias, saying that a ubiquitous Swiss Army Knife is not going to give any sensitive souls around the hospital the vapors.
 
I think that old Polish Micarta has changed the minds of at least a couple folks who weren’t big on Micarta before.

I’m one of those, I like natural materials and don’t think I’ve ever bought a knife that wasn’t wood, bone or ivory but when I first saw the pics of them I was intrigued. When I had it in hand I loved the depth of texture.
 
So I spent a little time cleaning up the $5 Case Eisenhower that I picked up yesterday and I’m more than happy with it. The blades are full and the snap is strong.

After … with a little bit of Flitz and some light Dremel polishing. Generally, I don’t think 60+ year old knives should shine like new, but this one needed some serious cleaning. I’m really happy with this little gem!!
