What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These knives are the type I used to carry when I was a kid. I guess that’s why I like them so much now.🤔

And fine carries they are. I grew up down south in a farming area in the 60's and 70's. All farm boys and the hunters carried a stockman, most had a barlow as well as LB7 or 110.
Elk tag…sTill unfilled. I had a quick chance this morning but needed about 5 more seconds.
Looks like good country. Hope you tag one

To be honest a skewer is easier and quicker, but not as much fun.

When a kid best your dad did it or you ended up with lots of kids with skewers through the palm of the hand.
Visiting my son near Denver a few years ago, he told me that there had been an epidemic of people achieving serious hand damage ~ severed ligaments ~ by cutting avocados while holding them in their hand.🙄
Drive the knife in, it hits the big seed inside, slips off, and continues right into their hand. It was happening often enough that the city ran “How To Cut Avocados” public service announcements on tee vee.
It’s like an entire generation grew up never toting or using a knife.😂

Late harvest is still goin strong
Beautiful. I grew some Dale’s Best that looked just like some of yours.
I brought in some Brandywines yesterday.

Nice jigged delrin®️ on your slender Camillus🤙
Thank you Patrick! I feel like I got a bit lucky on this one from a dealer, it's buying blind unlike the secondary market I've become accustomed to by necessity. 😁

Thank you Jeff, I rock pink whenever I can. Look forward to seeing it with a purple bone knife soon, pink and purple are for the prettiest princesses (that's me) 🤣 No chain there, I totally wear that thing on my finger. It's already got a fracture, GG wore it out drinking quite a bit from all reports 😵‍💫 You have me thinking it would go well with a yellow delrin covered Schrade or Camillus. You actually have me thinking of Delrin a lot, because you are just right ;). Hope the garden is settling in for winter well?
My fancy state was short, by afternoon the dust was upon me. That's why I need to clean up *sometimes*. I hate drywall sanding. Call somebody else, please!

Today's carry, served me aptly
I was spraying nitrocellulose lacquer the last couple days. Looked just like you. Well, older with a different brand respirator.
