What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Another sunny day here. I should be out on the trout stream but I'll be painting in our basement instead.......
I'll have this one on my belt after the work is done for the day.

I have two knives that hit me that way every time I carry them: the Victorinox Alox Solo and the Opinel Inox No. 08. With those two I always have a moment thinking, "This could be the only pocketknife and I'd be fine."

I'm not a fan of the Opinels, but I can certainly see why many folks are. I tried one. Just wasn't for me. The Solo... 😍 Tough to beat the form/function/price.

All the time. A pile on my desk, a box in the closet, and I usually end up with the Opinel N°10 Carbone in my front right pocket in a pocket clip sheath.

I was going hard with the medium Douk-Douk but at a party a young friend swooned over it. I handed it over and she has carried it ever since.

So between Opinel, a Victorinox Trekker, a Mora, and a maaseppänpuukko by malanika malanika I tend to tread the same ground comfortably.
