What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Recycled knives, but a new photo ~ the 175 was a gift from Paul, Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 , after a nice conversation about my son and the middle east wars they both served in. Thanks again, my friend!.
It’s my 2nd 175, and is pretty much mint in comparison. I think my old one cut paper in Draper Felt’s mill due to the slightly rounded tip.
The Serpentine Jack with imitation scrimshaw molded into the delrin has a replacement new NYKC blade from Schrade’s End Of Days because the original blade was bent near the tip. It pinged like a bell when I cranked the vise handle trying to straighten it.🙄
The seller I bought that blade from had a couple of shipping pallets of stuff from Schrade’s closing sale. I wish I’d bought more, because last time I looked on ‘bay, I didn’t see too many.

And my trusty four layer Wenger. Four layers is not too fat IMO.

Just received my first Grohmann, folder. The Mini Russell Lockblade.

This has been on my list for some time and keeping an eye on and watching the stock of the U.K.s only supplier dwindling away, last week was the time, pew, pulled that trigger.

Came in yesterday and although my Faffers mitts couldn’t help themselves and she’s now “seen some work” , this is it straight out the box along with a greatly appreciated real life Canadian 5cents piece thrown in!

Better than I’d come to expect from anything off some resemblance of a production line that isn’t GEC.
Sure there’s bits and bats that ain’t the best it could be and the hafting felt like it was cut short of completion but even that I can see the reasoning behind and it’s only because of my personal tastes that I spent a few hours just thinning out the covers and taking them down inline with the bolsters.
All in all I feel in no way shafted by this purchase, a feeling which feels all too common if I venture beyond GEC, which being said is why I’m also still totin the 81 City Stock, it’s just too damn nice.

Boy oh howdy! Went in for my flu and Covid shots on Monday and spent yesterday in bed from a reaction to one or both. Much better today 😀. Keeping me company with a nod to Wooden Wednesday the usual lamb and one our neighbors to the north. View attachment 2698493View attachment 2698494
Glad you are recovering Dan. I always seem to get a mild case of whatever the inoculation is touted to prevent!

Very nice carries.

Recuperating today. When we got home from town yesterday, the fuel truck was here pumping dyed red kerosene into our fuel tank that feeds our Monitor heater. The truck meter kept spinning and spinning racking up the gallons pumped like nobody's business. When the smoke cleared, it was 150 gallons at $4.059 a gallon - $608.85 for those of you who don't have a calculator. I wrote a check and gave it to the driver on the spot. It's a 250 gallon tank so it could have been a lot worse. Anyway, we're home today having biscuits and gravy with Jimmy Dean hot sausage for breakfast. This CV Sowbelly will do for pocket carry today.
