What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I love the wood grain & brass bolsters on the lambsfoot. The patina really shows off the fresh edge you just put on it, a well taken care of work horse... Well work-lamb I suppose.. 😂👍
What model is that Victorinox? Is it a two blade with only a main & pruner?

Thanks my friend
It is pruner, main blade & pruner blade only, very handy.

Mrs. Hoovie & I went down to my parents place today for my mom's birthday, my sister & baby nephew were able to come down too. She is still a little skittish traveling with him. Which is totally understandable being a first time mom with a newborn.
I'm happy to report my dad is also doing well with his hip surgery. It was great to see them all. It's always hard to line things up with everyone's schedule. But it's always great to spend time with family.
While I was thinking about my nephew earlier I realized I have this old "boys rifle", I bought a while back on a whim. A Savage/Stevens .22 single shot model #30 which will be perfect for him when he becomes of age. Now I just need to get a matching "boys knife" to go with it... Decisions, decisions.. 🤔😂

I had the Camillus Granddaddy Barlow & the violet GEC 81 in pocket. My mom's favorite color is purple so I felt it was fitting. She's not into pocket knives but she loved it when I showed it to her, & my dad got a kick out of seeing the Camillus Granddaddy Barlow I picked up while out of state, now he wants one too 🤣

Hope y'all have great weekend & are doing well!
Looks like a great time. Glad your dad is recovering from hip replacement.
Your nephew should be happy when he receives these. Awesome photos. The last one really reminds this old guy of simpler times. Harder times, yes but still better in my mind.
Zach, thank you for posting it.

Is that the sign vinyl handle ploy?

These knives are so shiny, I'm reminded of REM's Shiny Happy People, a song I would not like at all if it weren't for Kate Pierson's appearance in the official music video. [sigh]

I bought this yesterday at a show it had no box but looked new,the stall holder didnt know much which made 2 of us. 😅

I thought it may have been one of the new Cadets that have just come out using the old twin blade design (I have one on order).

On examination I think it is one of the old Cadets from many years ago (after moving from ribbed alox).

The bottle opener doesent have a half stop, the main blade looks thinner at the tang end,no keyring (hurrah) and the markings are different.

Not a lot of info on the web,it doesnt matter if its rare/valuable as I will be using it (as usual) and moving on my lovely red Cadet.

If you are wondering its all silver,I applied my special Sharpie pen technique to give it the withered old pocket worn look of black alox.

The thing about that is it’s totally reversible if I change my mind, yet stays on in normal use (my red one is actually red and smoother on the scales as I bought it).

If you have any thoughts/info/knowledge please share it.
