I love the wood grain & brass bolsters on the lambsfoot. The patina really shows off the fresh edge you just put on it, a well taken care of work horse... Well work-lamb I suppose..

What model is that Victorinox? Is it a two blade with only a main & pruner?
Looks like a great time. Glad your dad is recovering from hip replacement.Mrs. Hoovie & I went down to my parents place today for my mom's birthday, my sister & baby nephew were able to come down too. She is still a little skittish traveling with him. Which is totally understandable being a first time mom with a newborn.
I'm happy to report my dad is also doing well with his hip surgery. It was great to see them all. It's always hard to line things up with everyone's schedule. But it's always great to spend time with family.
While I was thinking about my nephew earlier I realized I have this old "boys rifle", I bought a while back on a whim. A Savage/Stevens .22 single shot model #30 which will be perfect for him when he becomes of age. Now I just need to get a matching "boys knife" to go with it... Decisions, decisions..
I had the Camillus Granddaddy Barlow & the violet GEC 81 in pocket. My mom's favorite color is purple so I felt it was fitting. She's not into pocket knives but she loved it when I showed it to her, & my dad got a kick out of seeing the Camillus Granddaddy Barlow I picked up while out of state, now he wants one too
