What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I suppose there’s a connection between being drawn to knives from a particular decade and how many trips I’ve enjoyed around the sun. Not counting Cub and Boy Scouting and fishing, which were my very first knives, the ‘70s were when I began carrying a pocket knife every day. So I like ‘70s era Schrades and Camillus, et al., No hardware store worth going into did not have them either on the counter or behind the counter. Bargain brands were usually in a cardboard tent display, good ones were behind plexiglass all lined up in their little tubes. It wasn’t until the chains killed off the mom ‘n pops, that the knife companies had to accomodate with barcoded peggable clamshell packaging.

REASON Not Shown: Fear of "Spamming" charges due to how long they have been part of my daily carry.
Not Shown.
SAK 2021 'Year Of The Ox' Huntsman, on a SAK belt hanger.
Toferner non-folding Celtic/Norse/"Viking" pocket knife, inside a medieval style leather belt bag. Sheath attached to bag with a brass Chicago Screw.

There is a 95% plus probability these two will be part of my daily carry for my remaining time on this planet.
There is only a 50% chance they will be on/with me when I get planted in this planet. My Will says to put them (and a few other things) in the box with me (and leave them there), before closing and locking the lid.
"50%" because they either will or won't honor my final wishes.
Mornin’ Steve. I believe people have tested the old truism You Can’t Take It With You before.

My eyes got tricked because they’d never seen a Navy Jack with a nose ring.

Did you like my knives posed on Bull’s Blood Beets yesterday? Had a bunch with supper last night, and I thought of you.😎

meh ... be that as it may, maternal and paternal family tradition for at least 10 generations each is to take a few favorite things with you. Cutlery, weapons, pen & ink (includes quill and dip pens) and so on.

While the physical stays with the empty shell, their essence MAY go with one to the next "life".
Why else would civilizations/societies around the globe from before the Neanderthal to today send items the one who went to the next life with items from this "life" they may well need in their next?

Yes. I liked the knives. the red things with them ... not so much. 😇👍

It's cooling off quick out this way. It dropped about 20°F since Tuesday, mid 70°s down to mid 50°s for the high today & rainy.

What model/pattern is your KaBar stockman?

My 1109 has stainless
This one is a mystery! It doesn’t have a model number; it’s only marked Kabar on the main blade. I have never been able to find anything about it either. Maybe a Kabar expert can chime in.
