4 Pin 1978-1984 Old Timer 7OT, equipped with a 1095 blade.
Sheath is a genuine (hairless) cow leather SMKW Stud Closure. There is no metal inside the pouch, so it is "impossible" (note quotes) to scratch the knife.

1961- c.2003 Old Timer 8OT Senior Stockman. Also equipped with Schrade's venerable and legendary 1095 blades.

2021 SAK 'YEAR OF THE OX' Huntsman, on a VIC belt hanger.

Love that 89OT with the "scalloped" sheepsfoot! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
I have the oriental version (and I think mine came with a deck of Schrade playing cards).

Winter wonderland in Mid-Mo today

Stunning stag, Mike! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
The only thing about winter that I wonder is how we survive it! :rolleyes:
I usually say it's a good start to winter if I don't have to shovel snow before Thanksgiving. That describes this year for me, but starting Thanksgiving night and continuing through all day Friday and Saturday, we got over 11 inches of snow at the National Weather Service location. :thumbsdown:

Rumbled yes it is. my hair isnt quite so radiant these days but its all there. 😁
I'm honored to know you! 😁

He hasn’t really paid much attention to Elliot really, sniffed him a couple of times but he can’t throw a ball yet so no use to Basil!
That one sniff probably did it.😱
🤓:thumbsup::thumbsup:

GT, you know me too well! 😁 A chestnut or a vintage red bone would certainly "suit my fancy". Oddly enough, I've grown quite fond of the yellow delrin CV as well. I think most find it rather borrring... 🥱 If you need me, I'll be over in the "Peanut" thread! 🤫

Hope all is well, my friend! 👊
I don't think your attraction to yellow delrin is so odd; lots of folks think yeller Cases are the epitome of traditional knives. :thumbsup::cool::cool:
I like yellow Case knives, but I don't have many so far: penknife, slimline trapper, EO Wharncliffe/pen copperhead is all I can think of. Here are a couple of them:

That's a very appealing knife, José! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Good morning all, catching you later, leaves are calling my name!!View attachment 2725144
Classic pattern, Bob! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
I still have a few leaves calling me, but their voices are muffled by the snow on top of them, so I can ignore them for a while. 🤓

My sister-in-law who resides just up the road from us passed away Thanksgiving night. Cindy and I are taking her daughter (our niece) to the funeral home to make final arrangements this morning. The sister-in-law has a cremation policy so at least that part of the arrangements is on track. I'll be toting a Black Curly Maple Sowbelly -seems appropriate for going to a funeral home. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

My sympathies to you and your family and friends, ED.

@5KQs~
“Yeah, I do, Jeff. That's why I hired a consultant who eventually came up with a weekly rotation schedule so I could give my knives the attention they deserved.”

I’m shocked the the math professor had to resort to hiring out the solution to a simple arithmetic word problem.
Jeff, I didn't actually hire a consultant, since I wouldn't trust any consultant who'd take the job for what I can pay with my dollar a day knife budget. 🤓 (But it makes me feel important if I just pretend that I hire consultants like the "big boys" do.)

I am carrying my Imperial boys knife for metal Monday today.

That's a winner! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I just "attached files" for my photos in my most recent post because when I tried to use postimg, I got a warning from "cloudflare" that the website to which I wanted a connection was the source of phishing attacks. Anyone else experience this?

While I would have preferred Schrade to have remained in the US, I was glad Taylor continued with the original patterns, and I liked that he added his Lamb Shark to the catalog
I agree it would have been nice if production had returned to the USA.
Don't forget, At the time of the bankruptcy in 2004, All the Imperial branded knives were made in Ireland.
A good portion of those branded "Schrade" were made in England; With or without "IXL".
All the "Modern" OHO/ modern liner lock and frame lock Old Timer's, Uncle Henry, and Schrade branded were made in Taiwan, Japan, and Hong Kong.

I find it ... "interesting" ... that Schrade USA only manufactured the 858OT "Lumberjack" stockman (4.625" closed) for six years. 1978 to 1984, before discontinuing it.
Taylor brought the 858OT back in 2004. 20 years and one change in ownership later, the 858OT is still in production.
Taylor added a second higher-end version of the 858OT; the "858OTB "in 2016 or 2017, with bovine bone saw cut covers, and upgraded the blade steel to 9CR18MoV, (a step or two above the popular 8CR14MoV/8CR15MoV,) They even managed to keep the price under $25 ... in 2024.

I know the blades in the current offshore Old Timer, Schrade, and Uncle Henry have a good heat treat, and if my seven examples are any indication, have a decent/usable edge out of the box.
