Congrats on your new Selfe custom; it's great that you're so enthusiastic about it!I've been collecting knives for the better part of 30+ years. Mostly fixed blades & one-handed opening folders, although I do have quite a bit of manufactured Traditional knives. This is my very first hand made traditional knife & I love it. It was made by Matt Selfe of @Selfe Made Knives in the UK. I'm really happy with it. I like that I can pinch it open too, because I have a bad habit of biting my nails. It has a half-stop & the pull isn't too hard. Very smooth action overall. He used RWL-34 & green micarta. I really love this blade profile too. It's so useful for my needs & easy to sharpen. OAL is 7.25"
It's called The Native

Steve, Travman, David, and Rob, each of you posted a pair of outstanding knives!
Have you seen your pen knife, baby,
Very classy Bucks, Mike and ED!
You might be right about the Best Case Chestnut, Chris (although I'm real fond of my chestnut Sodbuster Jr and Sowbelly Stockman, too. That's the most well-worn DF lamb I've seen thus far!I wonder if they do re-blades?
Chestnut, CV, straight edge... Not much to complain about! First one I've seen come up for sale, so I HAD TO HAVE IT.If I'm being honest, I think the two-blade swayback still holds the "Best Case Chestnut" trophy.
Did you know that Case made a YELLOW teardrop???
Absolutely stunning!!!![]()
Will, that bocote serpentine Sheep Herder is a stunner!
I hope your mother-in-law starts getting around on her own ASAP. It's good you could help your dad with storm repairs. It's been a busy weekend...
My mother in-law twisted both ankles in a fall, luckily nothing is broken. It could've been alot worse.
Mrs. Hoovie & I took her some meals so she doesn't have to worry about cooking anything & can focus on resting. The @glennbad Schrade helped to cut up some flowers to cheer her up.

Later on this afternoon I went down to my parents to help my dad fill out some of the washed out areas & repair the foundation for their house from the previous storm damage. (Still repairing things from hurricane Helene)
The BF knife continues to ride shotgun in pocket.
It's been a while since I've had to mix concrete/mortar mix in a wheelbarrow. Can't say I missed it...

Yeah, I tend to call "destination" weddings "detestation" weddings.Never had to grit my teeth and attend a far away destination wedding, fortunately. But two in Michigan, one in Iowa, one in Florida, and now this one because the nieces, nephews, and/or their spouses to be live there.
I'm beginning to understand why my parents chose to stay home the last couple.![]()

Your canittler is a champ!
Those "dogs" look like pups from the same litter, Rob!
Stellar stag you have there, Mitch, and that oak lamb always reminds me of Isaiah 61:1-5 in the Bible where some people who have been rescued "will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor."
I've always preferred the Stones over those other insects. That song works well Gary.Have you seen your pen knife, baby,
With its shadow pattern?
Well, it's one for the money,
And two for the show ...
Couple of checkered white bone stunners, Bob!!
