Thanks! I appreciate your input very much! I've only ever carved three spoons in my life, the first one was pretty crude. Here's the first on the left, this last one I went for more of a scooping spatula type of utensil. Please pardon the non-traditional knife, I gave the spatula away, so this is the only picture I have of it.

The snow in DC was a real mess, but I’m back in the office today. This is the view from my office. The Pocket Carver will be my primary carry as the short blades are within the guidelines.


Tomorrow is a federal holiday as a day of remembrance for Jimmy Carter. People will argue about his Presidency, but nobody can argue that he lived an impactful life with integrity, decency, and service to his fellow man as his North Star.

This is news to me, because keeping up with the news is bad for my blood pressure.

These are historical artifacts, not political statements. And I won't mention who I voted for when.

Jimmy had some bad luck. That hissing rabbit attacking his canoe just wouldn't have happened to his successor.

Jer, 1976 was the first presidential election I voted in. I was attending Drake University and got to meet Jimmy Carter when he came for the Iowa caucuses. After hearing him speak to a group of us in the commons of my dorm I knew that I was going to vote for him. I have to agree that he had some bad luck during his time in office.
