We'll just say nice things or nothing at all, soThe snow in DC was a real mess, but I’m back in the office today. This is the view from my office. The Pocket Carver will be my primary carry as the short blades are within the guidelines.

Tomorrow is a federal holiday as a day of remembrance for Jimmy Carter. People will argue about his Presidency, but nobody can argue that he lived an impactful life with integrity, decency, and service to his fellow man as his North Star.
Buck 307 says get rid of those skinny suit pants.I wanted to check the roads and church parking lot today so I knew whether to cancel our midweek services. We had to cancel Sunday I just thought the big 307 was fitting.
Probably will switch out later for evening services as it’s a tad big n my opinion for suit pants.View attachment 2754922

Back in 2015 they sometimes were offering stag knives with either Burnt Stag or Natural Stag . The Natural Stags were a little higher priced and were sometimes Serialized .

Back then , CK @knifeswapper often showed photos of all Stag Knives and allowed you to take your choice . Both of these knives were available at CK for some months . Back then @paulhilborn and @Half/Stop Ron were showing some Stag 73's and I liked them so much that I decided that I had to have one . I showed one of them to one of my Grandsons while playing golf and he said he would like to get one for Christmas , so I made that happen . Since then I have furnished each of my Grandsons a Stag handled Northfield at Christmas .

I had both that one and the identical Medium Stockman. Kept the smaller one since I bought that new at Sears when I worked there in the '70s.![]()

I also remember GECs languishing in dealer's inventory. Specifically the big #97, the Moose, and the Bull Buster. I wisely bought one of those from Mike after hemming and hawing over the first two until it was too late. Orange delrin was all he had left, but I like it fine. And it was only $40 or $50.
I love how you were able to pick your favorite stag.
I had both that one and the identical Medium Stockman. Kept the smaller one since I bought that new at Sears when I worked there in the '70s.
I gave the big one to son #2 among others ~ a camo covered SAK Cadet, a fixed blade and sheath I made, and a Camillus TL-29.
The best of all was the EK Bowie I'd given son #1 before he left for A'stan in OEF. I had bought two on closeout when EK closed production in Bloomington Ill.
Son #1 carried it upside down on his vest webbing.
So next visit, I found the drawer where son #2 kept them. We had to have a talk about keeping carbon steel clean and oiled. Then he showed me the Bowie. He'd badly dulled the tip by carving his late brorher's initials into a rock on top of a mountain.
I kind of threw up in the back of my throat, but didn't let on because I knew he was just working through it his way. Good steel, because I was able to clean it up with stones.
So. nice knife and pics, Tim. And thanks for indulging my memories
afishhunter ~ my best guess would be Camillus or Schrade. But the more confident I am the more likely I am to be wrong. I have a different Craftsman Stockman made by Ulster.

Thanks WillBlade's sharp, but so is the look of that Micarta and shield
I have the Stag variant and a very good example too, but I think the Micarta really suits the pattern, well chosen
Thanks, Will
Nice one!View attachment 2755846Midwinter snowscape in Dallas today.
