Dan the weather in Santa Cruz is often pretty close to yours in SF. A quick hop over the hill into the valley and you never know.

Here’s that Shadley stockman for some knife content. It’s 3 5/8” and thin. No blade rub at all and everything so close. It impresses me.

Do the bees gather primarily from whatever is locally in bloom, or are they used for crop pollination? My sister has two hives in her yard and they are suburban pollinators. Her honey varies a lot in flavor, depending on what is blooming near her. Where I live crop pollination is a major business.

My bees are kept just for honey, I only have one hive for now. I live in the country so there are crops nearby they can pollinate. Personally I’d rather they don’t, most broadacre crops are poor honey producers and covered in pesticides and other nasties.

Bee pollination is big business here too but mostly in horticulture.

Two questions: is the friction adjustable, and does it have some kind of lock?

No lock, and it's pinned together so you can adjust it a little with a hammer but I'm not sure it's recommended. Wooden handle so it'll swell a little with humidity

I have walked and rode around this park literally hundreds of times but this is the first time I've ever seen an eagle looking for a meal here.
