What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

THE PACKAGE is home!!!!! Her name is Abby, she is four years old and she is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. It was driving us crazy not having the companionship of a dog. She'll out live us but we've made arrangements for that.

When we picked her up.

After she'd been home for awhile and after she'd sniffed every thing in sight and made at least fifty laps around the yard.

Happy for you two. No, you three.

Border Collie and Australian Shepherd, eh? See if you can get a deal on tennis balls in bulk. Or get some goats and chickens for her to herd.
Looks like a sweetheart, Ed🤙
It's a Sowbelly. Here's a sample of the Sowbelly knives I have.

Nice pile. Keep buying them until you find one you like. 😉

How's your snowcover, Ed? Over by here, as we mourn the passing of winter, we have the sad sight of the snow melting off the roof.

AG Russell, ATS-34 blade with pearl and abalone, split-bolster lock. A bit over 4.5" closed, about 3.25" edge

Will be a great fruit knife, got a great deal so not going to be a safe queen

Edit: Didn't notice at first but a bit of forward-back play when open. The liner still engages well and the knife doesn't appear to be at any risk of closing, but I do wonder if this is flawed execution or just a design choice (no lock stick lol, and still under spring tension like normal so it's not rattling or anything, maybe a compromise there?).

Anyone else with a Cattaraugus CM-12 (produced I believe under AG Russell sometimes as just a small toothpick) or this larger version of the split-bolster toothpick (Cattaraugus FH-1 when not AG branded) from AG able to comment?
I've had several liner locks from GEC, Queen & Case. The lock doesn't engage a lock face on the blade like a modern knife. These are just slipjoints with an added safety.

Made me want to carry a Russlock today
