The official tool kit of the old air cooled bugs.
And they didn't even need that, usually.:) We bought a new VW bug before I got out of the military in 1970. We drove it from CA back to PA, and everywhere else. I forget how many years my wife drove that thing, because I couldn't persuade her to give it up. It had well over 200K on it, and that little thing never gave us any trouble at all.

Oh, that's a dandy! Nice job.
Jose', every time you post that, I remember my Grandpa and his two brothers.
Grandpa had a Squareback for trips and shopping, and a gorgeous white over brown Karmann Ghia. Both his brothers drove vintage Beetles.
In the 1960s, VW had an advertisement showing a KG set up for racing, and the caption said "You'd lose!".

And if they did need repair, it was easy to work on them. A friend had a '63 convertible. The two of us took the engine out and carried it to the workbench. Try that with a V8 :)
