All this talk of Red-Bone over in the Case thread convinced me to put this Marlin Spike in pocket for the rest of the night. It's a grail knife of mine & a rare carry.

That knife is amazing! I’ve never seen a case with a marlin spike. What year / model is it?

It's a 7 dot Case from 1973, model 6246R.
It's a Riggers/Sailors knife.
I got it from a generous member here that was willing to let it go to a good home.
I've posted it before on occasion. As I've said it's a special carry for me.

Here's a favorite pic of mine with a well used & loved Penn deep sea fishing reel, I think they match well

Duane aka sitflyer gifted me this knife shortly before his passing. When I asked him why he said he knew I would never sell it. He was right ... it's an honor to carry it. RIP buddy.

Unfortunately I'm not willing to part with my Case Spike at the moment, it took me awhile to find this one
