What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A seahorse whittler that I have been known to call "The Ugly Duckling" for Sunday. 😊 If you give me a sad emoji, I won't hold it against you. 🐸
Just dyed to the dark brown color is making me warm up to it.

Thank you my friend. I said that I was warming up to it now .................. but I'll keep that in mind. 🐸
It is a lot better looking than it has ever been and I have had it for about 15 years I reckon.
If you had mentioned that before I dyed it dark, you would probably already have it. 🤣

Well, its certainly not ugly now
Do you have any "before" pics?

I have one, but, keep in mind that when it was truly the ugly duckling, I took some pictures and it was uglier in pictures than it truly was. Then I would toss the pictures.

I have never seen it as it came from the factory because I got it in a trade with a friend and he had dyed it in a coffee and then tea. Later I tried potassium permanganate and it didn't improve it much. The mark side was the ugliest.

I am pretty pleased with the Fiebings Dark Brown Low Voc dye applied with heat. I did the mark side three times and the pile side once ..... and stopped because I finally liked it. This is the only before pic that I have of the pile side ...................... before the dye and after all the other attempts mentioned above. The mark side was lighter and splotchy. 😊
