What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thats the coolest acrylic I've seen. Wish they made em in stainless.

Much as I love my Case cv blades I think the old Schrade carbon was the best.

I would have to agree. I don't know if its just the steel, or the way the blades were ground, or both. IMHO there is just something magical about it

Thats cool... I've never been real fond of the acrylics, but the more I see of them, the more they are growing on me. They have some really wild patterns

I don't know, pard.. I reckon it would have to sorta depend on what vintage of Case carbon steel we're talking about compared to good ole Schrade carbon steel.

For instance this one here is just plain dangerous..

;) :) .. Tucked into my right front pocket all day long since sunup this AM.

Thats a good point Anthony... The early Case knives are terrific too.

I think I still have a mental thing about the Schrades, because that was the first knife I was able to get sharp enough to scare me :D

6232 ? :D

I've been carrying this Case Swayback Jack since I got it last week. Definitely bested my expectations.

My new Case medium stockman in old worn red bone. :D

Edit: I tried to post some pics but they were HUGE since I had to use my camera phone since my defective sister can't take care of anything, including the camera I let her borrow. :(

Try using Photobucket for re sizing your pics. Its really easy

Yesterday it was a Buck 301. Today it's a Cold Steel Large Stockman. Love those Carbon V blades.

Karfeng, I always wanted to get my mitts on one of those Cold Steel carbon v slippies but missed out. Great knife. You seem to EDC one regularly, how's the edge holding?

I have a thing for Stockmans. The Cold Steel, made by Camillus, is one of my favorites.

It's not too late, I found mine NIB on ebay last spring.

Takes the typical non-stainless wicked-sharp edge.
Holds it better than Case CV and maybe a tad better than my Schrade Old Timer in 1095.

I had four of those knives at one time. Good steel and a reasonable price (at least when I originally had purchased them.)

I popped my Jr. stockman in the ole' pocket later today too. Great knife.

Yobbos, the steel holds a great edge IMO. I sharpen mine to a 30 degree back bevel w/ a 40 degree micro bevel.

The Bird Knife is currently for sale on a website that I won't name (and have no affiliation with). Happy hunting :D
