• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Awesome! Say, where could a fella find a knife like that for sale?
In this case i ordered straight from the makers here: vittoriomuraefigli.com
I used google translator to navigate the site. Pretty sure they were made to order since it took about a month to get.

I know there's another site that has alot of Sardinian knives on it i heard good things about, but never used it myself yet.

I really wish there was a more stable supplier of European knives here in the USA. Im getting into alot of French and Italian traditionals latey.

Thanks! I'm drawn to the Sardinian pattern recently and haven't found a good source yet.

For a French connection, I like ordering from Knives of France (I think a BF supporting dealer). Good selection and service. I think I've bought 5 Douk Douks from them.

Edit to add: I'm curious, how much friction is in the pivot of your Resolza? Is it pretty stiff or does the blade swing easily? I don't usually carry friction folders, so I'm not sure what to expect.

Also, how's the steel? Is it typical European stainless like 4116, 4034, "INOX," etc. run pretty soft?

Lots of friction in the pivot. Its not hard to open, but you have to pull deliberately to open it. So about perfect in that aspect. And enough friction to stay open safely. It doesn't swing at all.
I got the stainless blades on the two i got. Im not sure what they are, but I've heard that its probably most likely 420 steel. Supposedly that's what alot of the knife makers use for their stainless on the island.
I haven't used it much yet since its so new to me, but the strop worked pretty quick, so im assuming its a softer steel.
