Really happy with the ebony. Nice medium pulls on both blades with decent snap. No complaints from me.

The blueberry might be going to GEC for warranty work. The pen has NO snap when opening or closing. 😔

Blueberry would’ve been an easy choice if not for the pen blade.
 
This morning I pulled out my big ol' Queen stockman that's just about the same age as I am. Lovin' the real winterbottom bone!

Glad the ebony is nice. The one I received has medium pulls and good snap on both blades as well. Sorry to hear the barlow secondary is not functioning well. Kind of strange, I have S model GEC knives that I can't figure why they are, then they let something go that has a significant issue. I do have a red sawcut barlow on the way, I hope it doesn't have any issues.

It is strange that they let these go out of the factory in this condition. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve flushed the joints and the pen blade is a little snappier now. Still light, but has much better action now.

Hopefully your red sawcut will be a homerun. They sure look like they’ll be the best of this run.
