Fore "Wood Wednesday": Imperial Frontier 'DOUBLE EAGLE' 'HOMELITE' advertising Stockman.
Stainless blades, Brass Bolsters, and I think Rosewood covers.

I suspect it was a "Free With Purchase" of a Homelite chainsaw or groundskeeping tool. (leaf blower; weed whacker; edger; etc.)

EDIT
I sent an email today to Homelite asking what year they had the Imperial Frontier Double Eagle stockman bonus with purchase of a power tool.
I figure there is at least a 0.0001% chance they will reply with the year. :)

EDIT - EDIT:
I heard back from Homelite!
That promotion is too old. They don't have any records for it anymore.

My wife gave me a Fisherman for Christmas in 1982. One of those Christmas gifts that a guy never forgets.
If I am fishing, it's in my pocket.

I think the Screwpop is as traditional as a Christy or a Flippit, but we'll see.
Never heard of a Screwpop.
What the hell is it?

Except for the tang stamp, and blade etch, that has a lot of Craftsman DNA.
