Maybe even if you have no reason to go to town, you can drive around the county seeing what everyone is up to at this point in the spring. (When I was a kid on the dairy farm, my Dad never did any work on Sundays besides caring for the cows, and he'd often take the whole family for Sunday afternoon drives all over our area at least once a month from April through October - at least that's what I remember.)
