Maybe borrow a hanger from the hotel to fish it out?So after a couple of failed attempts, mostly beyond my control, I'm finally on the road to Tennessee. As I type, I'm in a hotel - its actually a holiday Inn Express so I should be an expert at something, but I'm not sure what - just north of Evansville, Indiana. Windy, but otherwise a beauty of a day - 70 and low humidity, lots of sun. Earlier at a rest stop I dropped my open Victorinox Cadet between the seat and the console. It's on the seat rail so I can't get it from the bottom and my hands too fat to get it from the top, so there it remainsI don't think its hurting anything even being open so I'll fish it out when I get to Tennessee and have better access to fishing out tools.
Fortunately, I had another knife (bet that's a surprise) in this case a Buck 303.
Dinner!

Ok, its pre-dinner. I have a turkey sandwich and apple for dinner
I'll be mostly offline for the next week-10 days. Y'all take care![]()
Just beautiful. Great looking colors too!
Good thought! I just checked and the hangers are wood and steel and too thick.Maybe borrow a hanger from the hotel to fish it out?
Or maybe make a hard left and then a hard right turn?*don’t do that.
Sounds like a plan. Wood hangers…tsk tsk.Good thought! I just checked and the hangers are wood and steel and too thick.
"Or maybe make a hard left and then a hard right turn?"
Hmmm....I don't think the physics are right, but it sounds like fun
I have a telescoping magnet which will be just the thing. I even know where its at - in my small toolbox which is buried just as far back in the trunk as it can get. I'm disinclined to unpack that much stuff for a non-emergency. I'll get it tomorrow after unpack the car.
Have a great tripMade my way from Western NY to Portland, ME today. My son flies into Portland tomorrow morning and we’ll head to Grand Lake Stream, ME for our annual fishing trip. The smallmouth and landlocked salmon fishing is great, but getting to spend 4 days with my boy without internet and TV is the real prize!! He’s 32 and married now and I am lucky he still makes time for the trip. It’s the highlight of my year! Stopped by to see my friends at Brant & Cochran and picked up a Dirigo Belt Axe to split firewood. Temps will be in the 40’s so we’ll need it!! Brant & Cochran is making axes in the way of the famous Maine manufacturers and produces heirloom-quality tools.
