Agree with that.
The 742 was a very close runner up to my 2024 KOTY.
The winner (by a hair) was my Western 062 Fokding Hunter, which has been part of my EDC since I got it, except for a few days when for nostalgia I carried a Buck 110 or Old Timer 7OT, like I carried daily when I was much, much, younger (14 to 60 something).

I "think" I am going back to the BF stockman for a bit.

So far it and the Western have been my most carried stockmans this year (The BF Stockman IS my 2025 KOTY. For one thing, I don't intend on getting another knife in 2025. For another, even if I do, it can't get as much carry time, since the year is well past half left. (optimistic view. "half gone"is the pessimistic view. )
