I guess I am getting like a 15 year old dog too. So I can empathize with your best friend.

Bob and 5K Qs one of my favorite client nonfiction books is called DALLAS 1963, which is a narrative history of the city from fall of ‘60 until November 1963. Well reported, impeccably sourced and with award-winning journalists’ prose that reads like fiction. Suggested reading if you like history from this era!
