What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Is that a knife blade or a punch on the right?
Yes. I think it was a spey. Now it works pretty well as a leather awl, or for picking out splinters.
Somebody used that blade, and sharpened it. a. lot.
Love the Jack.
My Mom's Dad had one, and now I have it.
It was his Good Knife. He had a few dime store Imperials and Hammer Brand, but this was His Knife. At some point, he broke the spring on the pen blade. It probably just gave out because he used that blade a lot.
"Abby" the Hoarder isn't feeling well so we're off to the Vet with her - suspect a bladder infection. Worries me when our pets are out of sort. She's in for a lot of pampering. I'll tote a Scout Trapper. We'll get a to-go breakfast sandwich on the way home at the Java Doc.

I guess vets are like lawyers.
Not your first choice of things to do, but when you need to see one, you need to see one.
Careful with all the pampering. She might not let you stop🥰
The draft horse says, "I should be pulling a log out of the woods. Why am I hooked up to this little wagon?"
Upstate cutlery company
I think I would use the one on the right a lot, and the one on the left for nice occasions.
Great sampling. You could tote the one on the left on Saturday for Schradurday.

I ended up adding the yellow Camillus and the Irish Imperial to yesterday's carry.

It made sense, but maybe you had to be there.
Today I thought, just the big jack, plain and simple soul that I am.

But it doesn't have a straight edge and a punch until you add others.
Everything about your Imperial just comes together to make a gorgeous knife.

Camillus 70 cattle knife actual pocket worn goodness. The bone covers are beautiful like Werther's caramel candy.

That is a beauty!!!! I may have to hunt down one of the these. Is that the same #14 frame that’s used for the engineers knives?

I’m loving these older knives. That’s a great pattern collection. Wonderful bone covers as well.

No brass to see here today. Just a handful of all-steel war effort goodness from Camillus, One for the Army and one for the Navy. I’d forgotten that I had such a fine example of the Navy knife. Nice and tight, and the blades still have outstanding snap. Half stops on both blades.

I had to run a bunch of oil through the Navy, to loosen all of the buildup, and then put it on a stone to restore the edges, but it sharpened up nicely, Camillus really used some very nice steel back then. Easy to put an edge on, and no floppy wire edge to deal with.

Thanks, I got lucky fishing on the bay. Since I have stopped trying to get GEC knives, I have been able to discover other brands, Camillus and Ulster are two of my favorites. Yes I am obsessed with the#14 frame, my absolute favorite size, equal end cigar pattern. I am trying to find others on that frame, for me it is the perfect size pocket knife. Partly because of you and your awesome photography on the camp knives thread, which a lot of camp knives are similar in size to the #14 frame. I have been meaning to take more pics what I acquired so far. The bone covers , Rogers bone I think, on the Camillus knives is mesmerizing.

We had a successful trip to the Vet yesterday. As we suspected, "Abby" the Hoarder has a bladder infection but with the meds the Vet gave her, she's on the mend and is already a bit perkier this morning. Of course we'll be home with her today and tomorrow. I'm carrying a Camillus 72Y Yello-Jaket Whittler today. ?????? for breakfast.
