A belated Happy Birthday, Ed! Hope it was a good one!Well, today's my birthday. Eighty two (82) years old. Nothing planned for today but will go to dinner (supper in some parts of the country) Saturday night at Antonio's Italian Restaurant in town. My birthday present came in the mail yesterday- a Buck Slim Select 112 Ranger but I can't show it here as it has thumb studs and a clip so I'll show my latest Traditional - a Crimson Case Large Stockman and sing "Happy Birthday To Me" while posting this. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

Is this another run of the 1095 harvest bone in another color? Or was this dyed? Sharp looking knife either way. Nice companion to the Moran.Latest acquisitionsView attachment 2961299

Nice haul and nice basket to boot!I added an 881Y this afternoon to have the kind of blade I like for trimming beans.

Since I already had one yellow Schrade, another one felt right.
Who made the "little" Jack? Your NYKC makes it look little.
Thx. A friend who works at an orchard gave the basket to me (with some apples in it). It had been retired from You Pick 'Em duty. I've had it a couple of years now, the stuff I use it for aren't as heavy as apples.Nice haul and nice basket to boot!
I have to say I have never put sash weights in my pockets.I carried the Boker yesterday at work. I was reminded of the old days when we put sash weights in our pockets to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in our trouser hips.

I switched to the Kabar when I got home.
Today, who knows?

Or the dyed 47 I've been neglecting.
The 112 is an icon. Heavy duty and solid little brother to all time hero 110. Here’s mine from 1980 underneath 3 501s. https://www.buckknives.com/blog/the-history-of-the-112-ranger/the 112 or 55 might be up my alley but they're hard for me to visualize
