My ugly duckling former Camillus electrician’s knife I saved from a near death and customized. It’s a bit scarred like some of us but beautiful nonetheless.

The beginning of summer here in the City by the Bay! Well at least in my area of the City. I’ve always said if you’re going to San Francisco come in September and October when the fog goes away and be sure to wear some flowers in your hair 😜. Keeping me company today the Modoc Special and pinched peanut. Have a great day folks! 😀

Much of it has turned so black, I'm sure it has been mistaken for one of the Ebonies!!

On close inspection quite a few knives posted here that have been identified by the owner as ebony are actually cocobolo. Often the only way to tell, beside the grain, is to hold it in bright sunshine to see if there is red in it. I have a GEC 73 that changed from bright red cocobolo to almost black in just five years of regular carry.

I didn't say there's something wrong with it. I just don't like it.
It's a lot easier and quicker to whip it out when it's vertical. The only knife that's ever cut me sticking my hand in my pocket wasn't a trad. slipjoint.
I'm on my butt and knees in my garden all the time and they don't fall out, because I wear jeans not jammy pants.

I wish I saw more walking sticks and preying mantises around here.

But it's too nice outside to sit inside.🥴
Was my first day to actually chill
out from a very stressful couple
months at work. Just needed that couch potato vibe for one day….
