What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Dog paw's been my everyday carry since I got it. I'm absolutely in love with this knife.

Thanks for the additional info on that fine knife (and on your other one with the lock integral to the bolster - don't think I've ever seen that type of lock). :):thumbsup::cool:

In this view on the left (mark) side there is an extra steel liner that acts as the liner. The brass liner/bolster/scale on the mark side rotate for the internal locking mechanism

With the blade halfway open you can see the offset. In this pic the steel liner of the mark side is lined up with the pile side liner/bolster/scale, and if you zoom you can see the offset of the mark side (lower side in this pic)

And here, taken from the mark side, you can see the liner/scale offset when the handle is rotated

Thanks for the info. :) That font looks great in the handle "engraving".:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Mike my knives consider me and my camera to be fugitives from justice. :rolleyes:🤓

You're welcome, José; you seem to be finding quite a few splendid knives recently! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Dave. :) I was looking for an inexpensive trifold wallet years ago to use as a "pocket organizer" for knives, and fell for that baseball-stitched Rawlings wallet as soon as I saw it. I used to carry it all the time, but I haven't done so for 4 or 5 years now. Time to get back to using it. Here's a pic of the wallet loaded for action:

"Slim and elegant" seems accurate, but I might have described it as "lean and mean" and got more use out of it. ;)

I don't think I know very much about what patterns Watchman offers; I'd like to see your zulu model sometime! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Watchman seems to be the "economy line" (or maybe precursor) for Brother knives from China. IMHO Watchman offers mostly traditional patterns and materials, while Brother includes modern materials and patterns.

That 42 looks like a lot of knife! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Splendid knife (and eggs)! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Couple of classics; I really like that "Navy knife" Imperial! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Black beauties for sure, Dan! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Superb stockman variation with the spear main! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
(I have a harvest orange bone model I really like.)

Patrick and Mike, I really like the idea of a Red Buck Stockman Club you're proposing, although I currently can't join! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Game-winning triple play!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Couple of superb sowbellies! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Classy clip/pen toothpick! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Tremendous trio for Black Friday! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Congrats on getting to know your new knife, Jeff! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
Not many serious gardeners take a Bunny INTO their gardens, I'll bet. 🤓

Great piece👌

A short few weeks ago I left a comment on the “What is your traditional knife grail” thread and a long time porch member reached out to me offering me two of my grail knives. This Bladeforums ‘19 #86 and a Northwoods Esky Zulu in Denim Micarta. Two incredible grail knives of mine that I never thought I’d easily secure. We made a trade and I’m now the proud lucky owner of these knives.

We have an incredible community here and I’m so lucky and grateful to be apart of it. Thank you for the trade my friend, you know who you are!!

When I joined Bladeforums in late 2019 this Bladeforums knife became an instant must have grail of mine. I couldn’t be happier to finally have one now!!

Congratulations on getting these.
#81 today. We’re back home after a week fishing in the Outer Banks of N.C. It was the worst fishing we’ve had in the last few years. No one was catching much of anything. We did catch some bluefish but never did get into any big red drum we were looking for. We had a good time and are thinking about going back in October; maybe the fishing will be better.

Catching or not, it was time doing something you enjoy. About time for the crappie to start schooling up.
