What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My other congress type:

It's an older and better knife than my remembered impression of it.
[I found Imperial R(azor) Co in my Levine's 2nd ed.: Kastor's first brand, ca 1880s-1890s.]

Camillus in smooth elk, and Camillus in Mex. Bocote. The Jack started life as a civilian market version of a Linesman/Electrician ~ a TL-27 ~ with brown Delrin, and a utility blade which had been poorly re-ground. I bought it to play amateur cutler with. I like the TL/29-27's utility blade, but don't feel bad about deleting one that's been damaged.
Some TL-27s are marked as such, many are not, but I've learned to tell the difference. The blades and springs were slightly thinner stock than the 29s.
A lot of Cocobolo as well as the brown Delrin scaled Linesman/Electricians floating around are actually civilian market TL-27s.

Been distracted for the last few months with the company I was working for closing down very abruptly, and the place I found right after being fine for a bit but entirely remote work was going to drive me insane!
I think I’ve finally found a good place for me and I’m in the process of settling into it. Just glad to be back working in an office with real people!

All that means it’s time to start posting here again, and not just lurking in the background.
I do have to say Modoc ED Modoc ED I have grown to really love your updates, not just on the knives, but your adventures with Abby have genuinely been a bright spot in a rough last few months. Even my wife sometimes asks about you when she sees me check on the forum on my phone 🤣

Today I’ve got my 47 stainless with me. This knife came to me as a user, and is staying one. Just put a new edge on it last night to try out some new stones, and I did a decent job. It’ll shave, but I still need to get used to how they remove the burr so I can get the edge stickier. It will be even sharper when next it needs it!

Charr Charr - Thanks for the kind words.

Not carrying but fidgeting with an Arms & Armor Greek javelin that's sort of been turned into a knife. After I broke the haft for the third time I cut the broken haft down into a short handle. I still need to get a real javelin haft again (and for my other A&A javelin), but this is a fun (and historically legit) re-use for this.

Actually used today is my Case Pruner, and I always like to keep a lambsfoot handy.
