What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

53F, windy and overcast with intermittent rain 🌧️

I found half dozen tins of sealed Altoids of various flavors at Dad's. The expiration dates were over a decade ago cool_shades.gif The mints seemed ok to me, but I'm not a big mint guy. I like the tins for all kinds of small things, screws, nuts, bolts, doodads. I kept a couple and passed the rest out to the poker players.

Some bright color on an otherwise dreary day

Package opening.

Good mail call today, my new watch and gun grip arrived.

The SAK Farmer X worked just fine for grip removal and installation.

Finished, much happier with these. No hotspot from the grip screw digging into my palm.

Feels odd to say that I brought my SAK along as my “hard use” knife with this new locking blade design. The box cutter tool is a really great replacement for the can opener. Certain models should come with the can opener but for the more “everyday” models, I think this box cutter tool will really shine. I cannot stand wiping glue and tape off my blades every time I open a box so this new box cutter puts a smile on my face…or is it the beer?
