That Joker is from Spain, but my "official" International Knife of the Week is a Chinese-made Laguiole, a French pattern, that I bought in a cuchilleria in Denia, Spain:

Thanks yes I could see that,it looks exactly the same model just different colour.

Yeah, I think the handle on mine is burnt boxwood. I like the blade shape on the Taramundis I remember seeing - almost a sheepsfoot, but with a hint of belly on the blade.
